Phenix City Schools Announces Reopening Plan

Phenix City schools have announced their reopening plan that will allow students to opt out of in-person schooling and learn virtually.

Phenix City School Superintendent Randy Wilkes released the plan with students who opt in to in-person instruction will be divided into one of two groups: Trailblazers and Innovators.

Trailblazers will attend classes beginning Monday August 17 and attend Monday, Wednesday and Friday of that week before beginning a full week of classes on Monday August 24.

Innovators will begin classes o Tuesday August 18 and attend Tuesday, Thursday and Friday of that week before beginning a full week of classes on Monday August 24.

The first week will allow students and staff to adjust to the new school year with fewer students present the first four days.

Students whose parents opt them out of in-person instruction will all have classes begin on August 17 with daily virtual classes.
