Jackson Dean teamed up with Laci Kaye Booth to debut a “haunted,” “hypnotic ballad” on Wednesday (September 2).

The two country artists released “The Moon and the Wolf” as Dean gets ready to deliver his deluxe studio album: “The moon and the wolf/ They’re just talkin’/ About stars and dreams/ And things that run real wild/ Yeah, the moon and the wolf/ They both get lonely/ Just two lost souls/ Hangin’ out on the edge of tonight

“Ah ooh/ Got the truck backed up on a bluff/ With the tailgate down/ Ah ooh/ Ain’t nobody up but the two of us right now/ Ah ooh”

The song was written by Jessie Jo Dillon, Chris Tompkins and Luke Dick. “The Moon and the Wolf” is described: “Lost in the lost hours on the edge of time and town, they create a picture of entanglement that proves desolation can be the most intimate place of all. Ethereal, stretched across a slowed down heartbeat, it’s a moment of connection that will most likely evaporate in the dawn, but offers everything the lonely require in moments like this.”

“The Moon and the Wolf” is the first track to arrive from Dean’s upcoming deluxe album, Magnolia Sage (In Full Bloom). The full project will arrive on October 9. Listen to the duet with Booth below.
