Georgia Child Finds $40,000 Worth Of Meth In Lego Block His Parents Bought

A Georgia child found a pretty shocking and dangerous illicit drug in his Lego blocks recently. GA authorities are trying to figure out the origins of the $40,000 in meth stuffed in the box of Legos his parents recently bought him.

The Bullock County Sheriff's Office said three women told investigators they purchased the box, which was labeled as containing Lego toys, at a consignment shop in Charleston, S.C., and brought it back to Statesboro, where they gave it to a young child. No one expected what he found.

Sheriff's Investigator Jim Riggs said the young child went to play with the blocks and that's when he came across a large bag of meth with a street value of $40K. Police are investigating it, but believe that it originated from a mailed package to a vacant address. Typically, mail carriers won't deliver it if they know no one lives there, so it goes into an unclaimed mail area. If never claimed, it gets auctioned off and sold at consignment stores and other venues. This may have been what happened in this case.

Thankfully, the child did not ingest or play with the powerful drug. And he didn't even get to finish building his Breaking Bad: Meth lab collectors set.
