Tigirlily Gold shared a sweet glimpse of the moment Krista Slaubaugh called her sister and bandmate, Kendra Slaubaugh, on FaceTime to announce her engagement.
Krista and Walker Montgomery, country artist and son of John Michael Montgomery, got engaged on Monday (May 26). Kendra’s jaw dropped and she cheered with excitement when her sister held up her hand on the FaceTime call, debuting her stunning engagement ring for the first time. Krista beamed, “I’m a fiancée,” and Kendra asked, “can you even hold your hand up right now?” The award-winning duo shared a video of that moment on TikTok and Instagram on Thursday (May 29).
Montgomery proposed after nearly two years of dating the Tigirlily Gold artist. The newly-engaged couple took a trip to North Carolina, where Montgomery popped the question, and Krista said she “was overwhelmed in the best way,” when the couple shared their engagement story with PEOPLE on Wednesday (May 28).
“You wait for that moment your whole life, and I just wanted to remember and soak it in as much as possible,” Krista told the publication. She said the ring is “elegant but still is modern and feels like me,” and she “couldn’t have imagined (the proposal) more perfect.”
