Kane Brown & Bobby Bones Compete in Golf Competition for Charity

Kane Brown stopped by The Bobby Bones Show to talk about his new single, his love for being a girl dad, compete in a golf competition with Bobby Bones and more!

After teasing his new song on Instagram for a while, Brown released his next single, “I Can Feel It,” today (September 22). He was given permission to use a sample of the Phil Collins song, “In The Air Tonight,” and will have to give him a percentage of it, but he does not care about that. His focus is on creating a great song that will bring high energy to his shows.

His latest number one, “Bury Me In Georgia,” he recorded because it spoke to him and the love he has for his home state. When he performs it live, it creates an extremely high energy moment with the crowd. Brown just wrapped up his Drunk or Dreaming Tour where he played some of the biggest venues of his career to date, including Fenway Park. He is appreciative that he’s starting to get recognition as one of the biggest artists in the country format because for a while he felt like he was flying under the radar.

When he looks back at some of the first songs he wrote when he was learning, he cringes, but knows he should feel that way because it shows he is growing and progressing as an artist. His first song ever, “Don’t Go City on Me,” he would only ever perform again if it was at an event where there were no phones allowed and it did not end up on social media.

Brown is a father of two girls, Kingsley, 3, and Kodi, 1. He loves being a girl dad and the endless amounts of fun that comes with it. They never want to sit down and are always playing. He sees his attitude in both of his kids. He thinks Kodi will grow up to be the “hold my earrings” type of girl because when she falls down, she does not cry like her sister Kingsley, who he said is such a good big sister and feels she gets that quality from her mom.

When Brown is not touring or spending time with family, he loves to golf. He’s been playing for two years and didn’t grow up with it because in school if you played it, you were considered a dork. Now, he can’t get enough of it and practices whenever he can. He and Bones did a golf competition in studio for St. Jude where the loser had to donate money. Every missed putt cost that person $100 and they had to throw another $250 on top of it. Brown won and matched Bones $500 donation, making it $1,000 for St. Jude.

Brown announced his biggest tour yet, his 2024 In The Air Tour. You can register now for access to presale tickets. Pre-sale starts 9/26 10am local time and Public On Sale is 9/28. For more information visit KaneBrownMusic.com.
